(July 29, 2010) - Ryan Couture, son of MMA legend Randy "The Natural" Couture, has signed a multi-fight agreement with world championship Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion STRIKEFORCE and will make his professional MMA debut on Friday, Aug. 13 at the STRIKEFORCE Challengers event at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz., LIVE on SHOWTIME (11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast).

Four main-card fights including a world title fight have been secured to heighten the already talent-laden lineup for MFC 26: Retribution. The event, which will be held in Westman Place at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and air live on HDNet Fights, features a co-main event pitting MFC lightweight champion Antonio “Mandingo” McKee (24-3-2) against Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Luciano Azevedo (16-8). The savvy veteran McKee has not lost since 2003 but has garnered a reputation for dragging fights out. With a new aggressive mindset, McKee has declared he will retire from mixed martial arts if Azevedo lasts five rounds against him in a quest for the 155-pound championship belt.

Edmonton, Alberta (Canada): The Fight Club (TFC) announced recently that its July 17th show has been postponed until September. This is due to some internal restructuring which is in process at this time.
In regards to the company changes, TFC Owner Mark Sinclair says, "We'redisappointed TFC 11 had to be postponed, but the internal changes are being finalized now, and we will have an announcement soon regarding the restructuring and the upcoming September show. We're excited about the direction of the company, and feel that the fans will be pleased in the end."
