Impact FC 2: The Uprising Results

Impact 2 "The Uprising" became host to two UFC champions who beat up and outmatched.  Frank Shamrock fought Pedro Rizzo in the main event fight of the night and in under two minutes, The UFC superfight champion was on the ground submitting to strikes.  Bustamante, on the other hand, was grappling with UFC Tuf veteran Taylor and in the second round felt dizzy and waved of the fight, calling it quits.

TFC Welterweight Champion Ryan Ford Signs With MFC

Edmonton, Alberta (Canada): The Fight Club (TFC) announced recently that its July 17th show has been postponed until September. This is due to some internal restructuring which is in process at this time.

In regards to the company changes, TFC Owner Mark Sinclair says, "We'redisappointed TFC 11 had to be postponed, but the internal changes are being finalized now, and we will have an announcement soon regarding the restructuring and the upcoming September show. We're excited about the direction of the company, and feel that the fans will be pleased in the end."

Vladimir Putin Supports M1 Sochi Open Eropean Championships

New York City, New York (July 15, 2010) The Sochi Open European Championships took place in Sochi, Russia July 14, 2010. Organized by Sambo-70 and M-1Global, the event showcased some of the best fighters from Russia and Europe in head to head match ups. The highly anticipated, televised event was attended by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Governor of Krasnodar Alexander Tkachev, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, and Fedor Emelianenko.

  
Asked his thoughts on the event, M-1 Global co-founder, Vadim Finkelchtein, was happy with the fights and the event, “I would especially like to note the battle with Eastern Europe’s M-1 Selection 2010 tournament championship finalists, Slava Vasilevsky and Javier Hopa-Pokam. It was a great fight and Vasilevsky showed courage and determination. Knowing that Prime Minister Putin would attend, he decided to take a risk and compete tonight but he should still be able to compete on July 22 in Moscow.”
